Terry - I'm mystified and pleased with the progress the Europeans have made with eportfolios. I'm mystified because I don't often see the personal needs considered as much as the operational requirements of the institutions/governments/corporations involved. It isn't a reflection of the "having cake and eating it too" vision you've espoused for the learning activity itself. I'm pleased because they are actually investing time, energy and commitment. However, I often wonder about the energy expended over interoperability and standards. We become so cluttered with technology and proprietary code, makes one wonder if paper, ink and atranslator may still be viable tools.

Terry, howdy! I'm speaking to a university class this Saturday--actually, I'm recording a podcast message--sharing what I want from them as an employer. What am I looking for when I look at their ePortfolio.

Based on what you saw at the conference, what advice would you share and would you put it in audio or video format then link to it from the page at http://mguhlin.net/share/index.php?n=Work.Green2007#toc3

Wishing you well and thanks in advance,
